Lip Service from the government on disability is a very keen insightfull terminolgy to describe their involvement. As a person with a complete cervical fusion (broken neck), I feel forgotten, abandoned and basically have an unspoken feeling, the government would rather have me dead than alive.

Haha this is great. I have a disability too – involves use of a mobility scooter outdoors, which I can very competenly drive and mnavigate in tight spaces. Nevertheless, I feel reluctant to reach for things in stores… because of this ‘spectacle’ thing you are talking about. I feel it would sometimes cause too much drama!! Bill, you’re great.

I broke both knee caps recently and have been on crutches for two weeks now, I really feel those who spend most or the whole of their lives using walking aids. Not necessarily because of how difficult it is to move and do ordinary things, but because of how draining everybody’s concern for you is. being treated differently than anybody else is exhausting.
Bill Shannon is an inspiration on how to use any situation, to be even more creative with a sense of movement. The mind is the only obstacle.
